Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Age = 18 years - Planned general anesthesia - ASA classification I or II
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Systemic vascular disease - Local vascular disease in the area of planed sonography - systolic or diastolic dysfunction - Diseases or surgery on arm/shoulder or upper thoracic apperture - Venous puncture on the limb to be measured within 2 weeks prior to examination - History of frequent venous puncture (chronic disease with e.g. chemotherapy, i.v. drug use) - Vasoactive concomitant medication before general anesthesia start - ASA > II
