Exclusion criteria: Peri-implant / periprosthetic fracture pathologic fracture

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary goal is to record the bony healing rate after osteosynthetically treated distal femur fractures which were achieved by different osteosynthesis methods (plate, nail, screw osteosynthesis).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
One of the secondary project goals is to clarify whether minimally invasive procedures or nail stabilization show comparable reduction results and bony healing times as procedures with plate osteosynthesis. Further project goals are the analysis of postoperative complications such as bleeding, infections, bony malhealing, secondary loss of reposition with conditional reoperations on the affected extremity, occurrence of post-traumatic arthrosis, range of motion in the knee joint after surgical fracture stabilization
