Group 1: Carrots: The subject is asked to chew a prepared carrot slice (1 cm x 2 cm) as well as possible within 45 seconds without swallowing any particles. The food bolus is expectorated and evaluate

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Patients with fixed prosthesis or removable prosthesis. - Minimum age of 18 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - suffer from dysphagia - are addicted to medication, alcohol and/or drugs, - have allergies to the test materials mentioned (carrot, chewing gum, fruit gum), - have epilepsy or similar seizure disorders, - suffer from infectious diseases (HIV, hepatitis A,B,C,D,E), - suffer from malignant tumors - are currently undergoing, or have undergone, radiotherapy, - are being fed parenterally, - are unwilling or unable to give consent to participate in the study.

Measure	Time frame
The aim of the study is to compare the application of the different masticatory function tests in different age groups as well as types of dentures. When this has been done on the entire number of subjects, the primary objective criterion of the study will be achieved.	—
