Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diabetes type 2 diagnosis; BMI between 20 and 35; Willingness to consume 2-2.5 liters of mineral water daily for 12 weeks.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Insulin therapy; recent (<2 months) change in medications or supplements affecting blood glucose; diagnosed blood coagulation disorders as well as taking anticoagulant medications such as Marcumar (except ASA); participation in another clinical trial within the last 30 days

HbA1c levels after 12 weeks of intervention.

Except for size, all parameters are recorded at baseline and after 12 weeks. Blood: Fasting glucose, Fasting insulin, HOMA index, Inflammatory parameters (C-Peptide/hsCRP), Magnesium, Calcium, 25-Vitamin D, TG, LDL, HDL, Total cholesterol, Blood count (in particular Neutrophil-Lymphocyte ratio and Platelet-Lymphocyte ratio), Safety parameters (creatinine, GOT, GPT, GGT); Urine: Magnesium, Calcium, Kalium, Creatinine, Uric acid; Questionnaires: 3-day food record, Short Form of Health (SF-36), Single-item sleep quality scale (SQS), Other parameters: Blood pressure, pulse, Anthropometric measures: weight, height, BMI, waist circumference, Arterial stiffness via carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity,
