Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria: - Studies will be conducted with study participants who have healthy skin - are between 18 and 70 years old - are informed about the aims of the study and the nature of the investigations - have given written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria: - Excluded are: - Subjects who had regular antibiotic, steroid, or tacrolimus treatments in the 2 weeks prior to study enrollment. - Subjects with neurological disease - central and peripheral, - Subjects who have suffered burns or other impairment of hairless skin, - Subjects with chronic diseases such as diabetes, which may affect the distribution of Meissner's corpuscles [3], - Subjects with dermatologic diagnoses such as atopic dermatitis, - Subjects with motor disabilities, - Subjects with hyperhidrosis of the hands; - Pregnant women and nursing mothers, - Subjects who have had surgery in the past 6 months, - Subjects with a skin disease that could interfere with the performance of an experiment in this study. - Subjects with severely infected lesions requiring oral or intravenous antibiotics and adjunctive therapy; - Subjects with allergies - Subjects who have not given written informed consent or have not given written informed consent - Subjects who are unable to make independent decisions.

| Endpoints: Evaluation of skin hydration, skin barrier, skin viscoelasticity, skin thickness, and topography. Determination of the number, position and structure of Meissner bodies obtained non-invasively with the LSM (laser scanning microscope). All methods used are established and described in the literature, and are based on physical principles. Skin surface profilometry is used to evaluate the papillary ridge (characteristic lines in the skin of the palm). Their density, distance from each other and depth are examined. Skin moisture is evaluated with a Corneometer ® and viscoelasticity with the suction method (Cutometer®). In this method, a defined piece of skin is sucked in at right angles to the skin surface by means of a vacuum. The deformation of the skin as well as the speed and extent of regeneration are measured. Skin moisture and viscoelasticity can be correlated, but this is not well described in the literature for hairless skin. Thus, skin topography in hairless skin may contribute to a different relationship between skin hydration and viscoelasticity. This study will provide information for these important parameters. The thickness of the stratum corneum, epidermis, and dermis will be assessed using optical coherence tomography (OCT) and LSM. The density and morphology of receptors such as Meissner corpuscles will be studied by LSM and two-photon tomography. In addition, the chemical composition of hairless skin in different anatomical regions such as the palm and fingertips will be investigated using Raman microspectroscopy. | — |
