Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Pregnant or postpartum women: healthy, full-term primiparous pregnancy (> 37 weeks gestation). Nulliparous women: age-matched with postpartum women, never been pregnant regardless of pregnancy outcome (e.g., extrauterine pregnancy or spontaneous abortion)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: All participants: no alcohol or psychotropic substance dependence or use (during pregnancy), no acute depression or depression (during pregnancy), no acute or previous psychosis or manic episodes. Postpartum women: Mothers of infants who are in the intensive care unit after delivery. MRI: pacemaker or implantable defibrillator; plates, pins, screws, or metal mesh used to repair bones or joints; metal implants; metal jewelry, including an implanted or external drug pump; epilepsy; or claustrophobia
