Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Age of 70 years or older - FES-I (16-item) score = 20 - Ability to come to the study center without help - Ability and willingness to provide informed consent and accept randomization to either study arm

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Life expectancy of less than 12 months - Participation in another intervention trial (physical exercise or medical) at the same time or within the previous 6 months - Anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g. glucocorticoids, permanent prescribed NSAIDs) - Cognitive impairment (Mini-Mental-Status-Examination [MMSE] < 24 points) - Any medical, psychiatric, or behavioral factors that in the judgment of the principal investigator may interfere with the study participation or the ability to follow the intervention

Decrease in fall-related psychological concerns at T1 (after the intervention) by FES-I score in comparison to control group

All secondary outcome meseaures will be assessed at all time points (T0, T1 and T2): sarcopenia (BIA) physical function (SPPB, handgrip strength) health-related quality of life (EQ-5D+Vas) physical activity (Actigraphy) cognitive function (MMSE, TMT A+B) general psychological status (GDS, PSS, GAS) stress system activity (salivary cortsiol, alpha amylase) systemic inflammation (CRP, IL-6, TNF-alpha, IL-10) intracellular inflammatory activity (gene expression IL-1beta, IL-6, IL-10 and I-kappa B)
