Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy athletes, without injuries to the lower extremities The athletes train at least 2 times a week.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria are complaints on the buttocks (impingement, injuries, etc.) and instability problems in the ankles (for legal reasons, as a jump on a force plate is not insured). In addition, active trigger points should be present. In addition, the exclusion criteria for needling are the absolute control indications of dry needling according to Swiss guidelines. The following were relevant for the region to be treated: Acute systemic infections with/without fever, blood thinning and coagulation disorders (INR value>1.5), no clear consent of the patient (needle phobia), sensitivity disorders of the buttocks, lymphedema, increased risk of infection, skin changes, tumors, hematomas, osteosyntheses and joint replacement, allergies to materials used in DN (nickel allergy).
