Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Consenting patients over the age of 18 presenting for elective surgery or emergency care to a public hospital in southern Hessen, Germany

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients under 18 years of age, patients with a known HCV infection
