Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of asthma, sufficient knowledge of German, no participation in an educational course for asthma patients, oral and written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient has already participated in an asthma training course, incapacitated patient, insufficient knowledge of German

The primary endpoint is the difference in the number of correctly answered questions in the Asthma Knowledge Test (AWT, 56 items) (de Vries et al. 2004) between intervention and control groups after the online training program/conventional classroom training (2 weeks after study inclusion and 12 weeks after study inclusion, respectively).	—
