Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| AHR activation in CD4+ T cells (collected from venous blood) immediately after exercise compared to control. The primary endpoint is the comparison between intervention and control pre versus immediately post intervention / control cessation. AHR activation will be measured using art-PCR and flow cytometry. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| AHR activation at all other measurement time points ((1h, 3h, 24h and 48h after cessation of intervention/control) measured in CD4+ cells from venous blood. AHR activation will be assessed using qrt-PCR and flow cytometry. - Tryptophan metabolite levels in blood serum and urine using HPLC MS/MS - Inflammation markers ((anti-)inflammatory cytokine profile) using ELISA | — |
