Follow-up care after outpatient surgery

Interventions

Group 1: Patients after outpatient surgery who use a video chat. The observation period is expected to be approximately 72 h if there are no delays in the procedure.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age of majority (over 18 years) and ability to give consent - Elective, outpatient surgical procedure in the AOP of the University Hospital Aachen. - Participant:in has an internet-enabled device (cell phone, tablet, laptop, etc.) with a stable internet connection, camera as well as microphone and loudspeaker

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Insurmountable language or cognitive barriers (e.g., language barrier, dementia, laryngectomy). - Procedures that involve a postoperative inpatient stay
