Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Baseline Criteria: All patients who suffer an out-of-hospital cardiovascular arrest and are dispatched to both RTW, NEF, and MIC will be included. The following criteria for inclusion must be met: - Over 18 years of age - Advanced Life Support measures performed - Expected duration of resuscitation >10 minutes.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Pregnant women - Prisoners - Traumatic cardiovascular arrest - Known esophageal varices - Known esophageal surgery - Fulminant hematemesis prior to resuscitation or other evidence of gastrointestinal bleeding - DNR/AND status

- Image quality of the preclinical TEE examination, assessed with o Not usable o Limited conditions o Good conditions - Injuries during study procedures as measured by o Type o Severity (mild, moderate, severe, life-threatening) o Relevance (no additional measures, non-invasive measures, invasive measures, surgery). - Quality of resuscitation during eCPR facility, measured by o pressure depth o pressure frequency o Relief o Chest Compression Fraction - Neurological outcome of the intervention and control groups at 30 days, three and six months, measured by o Cerebral Performance Category 1-5
