Group 1: Patients who undergo major hepatic resections will have blood samples analyzed in regard to their levels of pen-Kid, DPP3 and bio-ADM as well as standardized laboratory parameters preoperativ

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Planned hepatic resection of > 2 liver segments

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - minors - inability to express legal consent - incarceration or involuntary institutionalization due to court order or by the authorities - pregnancy

MeasureTime frame
Evaluation of there is a correlation between the dynamic course of blood levels of bio-ADM, penKID, and DPP3 and the occurrence of complications after liver resections.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluation if there is a difference between conventional laboratory markers and the novel biomarkers in regards to - onset of chance in setting of complication - extend of chance in correlation to extend of complications
