Group 1: Burr hole trephination and evacuation of the cSDH. Sampling and investigation of the hematoma membrane and fluid.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients with cSDH where surgery is necessary informed consent possible above 18 years of age

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: informed consent not possbile due to dementia, emergency surgery, cognitive impairment
