Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Group I: Stroke patients with known atrial fibrillation (AF) Group II: Patients with an acute cerebral infarction without evidence of Atrial fibrillation (AF) im - Recording ECG - In the monitoring phase (24 to 72 hours) - in the 24-hour ECG.

Exclusion criteria: Patients unable to consent

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Stroke patients will be examined by ultrasound of the vagus nerve to detect if there is an atrophy or not in patients known to have atrial fibrillation and patients who don't. We examine if we could correlate between vagus nerve size examined by ultrasound and the presence of atrial fibrillation in stroke patients.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
If changes of the vagus nerve size like area in the ultrasound is related to other risk factors than atrial fibrillation.
