Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Arm 1: Preterm neonates born in the Universität-Frauenklinik Göttingen. - Arm 2: Term neonates born in the Universität-Frauenklinik Göttingen. - Retrospective arm of the study: Preterm and term nenonates born in the Universität-Frauenklinik Göttingen whose parents agreed to the use of their private data for clinical trials within in the latest data protection regulation from the Universitätsmedizin Göttingen. - Further inclusion criteria for all arms: signed declaration of consent by their parents/ custodians.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - For all arms: expected parental emotional instability due to tragic clinical course. - Congenitcal anomalies incl. esophageal atresia, gastroschisis, enteroschisis, Megacystis-microcolon-intestinal hypoperistalsis syndrome (MMIHS), duodenal atresia, anal atresia.
