Group 1: Patients with atrial fibrillation are examined and blood is drawn. Group 2: Patients without atrial fibrillation are examined and blood is drawn.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Age = 60 years - MMSE = 24 (cognition) - no acute delirium - no palliative care - no sepsis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Age < 60 years - MMSE < 24 (cognition) - acute delirium - palliative care - sepsis
