Group 1: A physician's assessment of CT and MRI images is already performed in the treatment routine. Accordingly, patients are not assigned to experimental and control groups.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patients: >18 years and/or with closed growth plates • CT confirmed tibial plateau fracture (according to AO classification of type B or C) • MRI and CT available within 10 days of tibial plateau fracture

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Age <18 years • Missing findings: CT, MRI or OP report • Lack of quality of MRI imaging • Previous operations on the injured knee joint • Extraarticular fractures

MeasureTime frame
Primary objective: Does the additional information from MRI imaging of soft-tissue associated injuries of tibial plateau fractures lead to a change in the proposed surgical plan?

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary objective: Does the frequency of change in the proposed surgical plan differ depending on the level of training (specialist level vs. assistant level)? Tertiary objective: Does the detection of soft tissue injuries differ depending on the level of training (specialist level vs. assistant level)?
