Group 1: Insured persons of the AOK Baden-Württemberg (regional health insurance fund) =40 years of age with incident PMR between 2011-2020.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Persons insured with the AOK Baden-Württemberg (regional health insurance fund), incident diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica between 2011 and 2020, age =40 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age <40 years; persons, who were not continously insured with the AOK Baden-Württemberg in the two years prior to the incident polymyalgia rheumatica diagnosis.
