Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All perforations that occurred iatrogenically during colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy or rectoscopy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Perforation of the colon due to other causes (traumatic, inflammation, malignant, iatrogenic due to other medical measures)

mechanism of damage (diagnostic: tip of the endoscope, shaft of the endoscope, retroflection maneuver, biopsy / therapeutic: polypectomy, EMR, ESD, dilation/bouginage, electro-/thermocoagulation, others), type of damage (target sign, Sydney classification III/IV/V, covered, free), size (in cm), localisation (cecum, ascending/transverse/descending/sigmoid colon, rectum), time of diagnosis/therapy (intraprocedural/ delayed/late), clinical presentation, kind of primary therapy (conservative: monitoring, antibiotics/ drainage/ endoscopic: TTSC, OTSC, TTSC+loop, TTSC+OTSC, endosponge, SEMS/ surgery (laparotomy, laparoscopy): suturing, partial colonic resection, colectomy, stoma, drainage), primary therapy initially and definitely successful (yes/no), clinical appearance (no symptoms, pain, fever, inflammation markers day 1-5 (CRP, Leucocytes, Il-6)), kind of secondary therapy, secondary therapy successful (yes/no), death (yes/no), cause of death, duration of hospital stay (in days).	—
