Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Diagnosis of hypertension/arterial hypertension (e.g. ICD 10: i10, i11, i12, i13) - Sufficient knowledge of German - Existing e-mail address - Internet access - Smartphone ownership

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - The Manoa app has already been used in the past - Pregnancy - There is a severe (non-correctable) visual impairment that may affect the use of the app

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Difference in reduction of systolic blood pressure (office blood pressure measurement) from time t0 to time t1 (routine follow-up after 90-150 days) between control and intervention group for patients with uncontrolled blood pressure (office blood pressure measurement >= 140 mmHg).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Difference in decrease in systolic blood pressure (office blood pressure measurement) from time t0 to time t1 between control and intervention groups for all hypertensive patients (controlled and uncontrolled at time t0). - Difference in the decrease in diastolic blood pressure (office blood pressure measurement) from time t0 to time t1 between control and intervention groups for patients with uncontrolled blood pressure (OBPM >= 90 mmHg). - Difference in the reduction in diastolic blood pressure (practice blood pressure measurement) from time t0 to time t1 between control and intervention groups for all hypertension - Difference in the proportion of patients with systolic blood pressure (practice blood pressure measurement < 140 mmHg) from time t0 to time t1 between control and intervention groups for all hypertension patients (controlled and uncontrolled at time t0). - Difference in the proportion of patients with diastolic blood pressure (practice blood pressure measurement < 90 mmHg) from time t0 to time t1 between control and intervention groups for all hypertension patients (controlled and uncontrolled at time t0). - Difference in the proportion of patients in the IG and KG with a valid blood pressure diary.
