Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - 18-85 years old with - Mild or severe history of COVID-19 disease, proven by positive PCR- test for SARS-CoV-2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Vaccination against Sars-CoV-2 before infection. - Persons with mental retardation, dementia and existing Pregnancy.

Determination of TAS2R38 genotype by sequencing on a buccal mucosal swab (categorical with three expressions) One-time data collection by means of a questionnaire on the severity of the disease. Correlation between genetic variant of TAS2R38 gene (sequencing SNP) and severity of Covid-19 disease (questionnaire).

- Verification of perception of "bitter" using commercially available test strips (expression) - Symptoms of COVID-19 disease, including "long-COVID" symptomatology - Known risk factors for progression to COVID-19 disease: Advanced age, cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, organ transplantation, cancer, stroke, bronchial asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic liver or kidney disease, obesity (body mass index,BMI = 40), or smoking (Rommel, von der Lippe et al. 2021), determined by questionnaire.
