Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants were Offenburg University students who were eligible for inclusion if they were: (a) aged 18 to 29 years; (b) English-literate, to interact with students of different nationalities; (c) has stated with medium to high loneliness levels measured according to the UCLA-20 scores, and (d) has access to a smartphone and/or computer with an operating system capable of supporting a modern web browser.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Participants who did not meet the inclusion requirements were not accepted to participate. Individuals were also not accepted if they have been diagnosed with a severe psychopathological condition (e.g., schizophrenia, suicidal tendencies, psychopathies, etc.).
