Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients 18 years old or older Planned elective major abdominal surgery Absence of acute or chronic infection Ability of subject to understand character and individual consequences of the clinical study Written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients younger than 18 years of age Absence of an informed consent form Current antibiotic treatment
