Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Rheumatoid arthritis patients = 18 years of age who are able to give informed consent are included in the study. The diagnosis of RA must have been made according to the guideline ACR/EULAR criteria from 2010. For data collection and later analysis, rheumatoid arthritis patients will be divided into the above 3 categories. Control group: Healthy subjects, age =18 years; no symptoms of muscle disease; no history of rheumatologic disease or muscle disease; Subjects will be asked not to undergo exhaustive physical exertion, smoke or consume large amounts of alcohol 24 hours before the examination.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria both groups: Specific pre-existing conditions: Chronic alcohol abuse, neuromuscular disease, COPD, severe heart failure (with an ejection fraction (EF) = 40%) diaphragmatic paresis, pulmonary hypertension, uncontrolled bronchial asthma, diabetes mellitus with polyneuropahtia; active malignancy, hypoventilation syndrome, obesity with BMI = 35kg/m² or an exacerbation of rheumatoid arthritis or other underlying disease. Before ordering the 6-minute walk test, the medical staff must check whether there is an increased risk of falls for the patient. If this is the case, it is considered a criterion for exclusion. Medication in the last 12 months: Therapy with oral corticosteroid within the last 12 months to an extent that could affect muscle strength. Drug use <18 years of age Inability to consent
