Interventions

Group 1: Not interventional
Patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases as well as those with Long-COVID-19 are being recruited. A healthy control will be recruited as well.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Acute respiratory disorder, Chronic respiratory disorder, COVID-19 post-recovery, healthy Participants

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Lack of consent; Patients included in intervention studies; Patients < 18 years old; Moribund status

MeasureTime frame
Metabolic changes in erythrocytes Patients vs. controls. S1P concentration in erythrocytes, serum, plasma and S1P enzyme and other metabolic metabolites plus erythrocyte function.

MeasureTime frame
Severity of the illness and course of the illness.
