Group 1: Patients with status epilepticus and concomitant diabetes mellitus. Group 2: Patient with status epilepticus without diabetes mellitus.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with the confirmed diagnosis status epilepticus; therapy with valproic acid i.v.; inpatient treatment at the department of neurology of the university hospital Leipzig between 01.01.2008 and 31.12.2020.
