Interventions

Group 1: Chronic back pain patients that are administered as their standard therapy to an Interdisciplinary multimodal pain therapy (IMPT) at the Day hospital for pain of the University Hospital Jena

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Screening for IMPT completed, accepted for IMPT, chronic back pain as primary aim for referral to IMPT

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Previous traumatic brain injury (influence on FK_NAc-mPFC) Exclusion from MRI (separate exclusion criteria like ferromagnetic parts in the body, old black tattoos, claustrophobia)

Measure	Time frame
FC_NAcc-mPFC in patients before IMPT > FC_NAcc-mPFC in matched healthy controls Assessment of FC_NAcc-mPFC will be realized by MRT/fMRT examination according to Baliki et al. (2012)	—

Measure	Time frame
Within the patients' group: 1. FC_NAcc-mPFC vor IMST > FC_NAcc-mPFC after IMPT (Follow-up after 3 months) 2. Changes of FC_NAcc-mPFC induced by IMPT correlate with the clinical success of therapy (pain, improvement of functionality, reduction of disturbances by pain) - from baseline to follow-up	—
