Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Sufficient knowledge of German - Patient's ability to give informed consent - Capacity of the legal guardians / parents to give consent - Diagnosis of somatoform disorder: F45.xx

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Lack of German language knowledge - Patient not capable of giving consent - No capability of the legal guardians / parents to give consent - No diagnosis of somatoform disorder (F45.xx)

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
- Patient empowerment measured with the Gothenburg Young Persons Empowerment Scale (GYPES). - Measured 6 months after discharge from ward.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Pain characteristics (localisation, duration, intensity, quality) - Pain-related impairment - Days missed from school - Assessment of intrafmiliar relationship - Measured at discharge and 6 months after discharge from ward.
