Group 1: Experimental group: exercise therapy feedback (structured, partially standardised implementation based on curriculum) delivered by qualified sports and exercise therapist: 1st week of rehabi
2nd week of rehabilitation (30-45min each): 8x shoulder and back group exercise therapy, 2x shoulder and back group exercise therapy including feedback
3rd week of rehabilitation (20min): individual examination by therapist, personalised exercise therapy feedback based on objective tests (hand grip strength, joint position error test, S3-Check) and p
2nd week of rehabilitation (30-45min each): 10x shoulder and back group exercise therapy
3rd week of rehabilitation (20min): individual examination by therapist including general feedback

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - chronic neck, shoulder and/or lumbar spine disorders over a period of more than three months, - sufficient knowledge of the German language, - inpatient rehabilitation programme

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - acute herniated discs, - postoperative condition following neck, shoulder and/or lumbar spine surgery less than two months ago, - language barriers

MeasureTime frame
The general goal of exercise therapy feedback is to improve the subjective treatment outcome and patient satisfaction. Data is collected using quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are: - Generic subjective treatment outcome (T0, T1, T2): Brief Pain Inventory - Short Form (BPI; Cleeland, 2009; Cleeland & Ryan, 1994); - Disorder-specific subjective treatment outcome (T0, T1, T2): Neck-Pain and Disability Questionnaire (NPAD; Blozik et al., 2010), Shortened Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand Questionnaire (QuickDASH; Gummesson et al. 2006), Roland and Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ; Roland & Fairbank 2000); - Patient satisfaction (T1, T2): ZUF-8 (Schmidt, J., Lamprecht, F., Wittmann, W.W., 1989) Qualitative semi-structured interviews with all stakeholders involved (therapeutic team, patients) are used to gather additional information about subjective treatment outcome and rehabilitation satisfaction. In addition, subjective success criteria of the rehabilitation programme are explored from the patient's point of view.

The subjective assessment of work ability is recorded as the distal outcome. Work Ability (T0, T1, T2): Work Ability Score (WAS; Ahlstrom et al., 2010) In the course of an accompanying evaluation, self-developed, intervention-specific questionnaires are used to collect data on the following topics: - reaching target audience - acceptance - satisfaction - feasibility
