Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: all interested subjects who provided written, informed consent, that do not meet any of the exclusion criteria and have a smartphone as well as access to the internet

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: age < 18 years, legal guardianship, pregnancy, an increased risk of falling, diabetes patients with the following comorbidities and contraindications are excluded: peripheral neuropathies, other microvascular secondary diseases, diabetic foot syndrome, diagnosed heart attack/stroke in the previous four weeks, insufficiently adjusted high blood pressure, hypoglycaemia perception disorders, psychiatric disorders, poorly adjusted diabetes, severe sensorimotor and/or autonomic neuropathy and unstable proliferative retinopathy

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
physical activity (measured with different questionnaires at four measurement time points and continously with the activity tracker), HbA1c, BMI, TIR, blood pressure (are measured at four measurement time points).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Health-related quality of life, self-efficacy, motives, volition, stages of behaviour change, personality variables, intention and self-concordance (measured with different behavioral psychology questionnaires).
