Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - volunteering participants (f/m/d) - medical laypersons with no prior medical education - Age between 18 and 75 years - Prior agreement after oral and written disclosure

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Medical profession (physician, nurse, paramedic etc.) or medical trainee (med. student, nursing trainee, etc.) - Persons not able to give their approval - Age under 18 or above 75 Years - pregnancy

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Comparison of the average pressure depth and pressure frequency between the three study groups. Data is acquired by the resuscitation manikin.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
We compare the following parameters between the three study groups. Thereby, we compare the complete time interval of 8 minutes as well as repetitive time intervals of 1 minute. - total number of chest compressions performed (n) - time to first chest compression (s) - number of chest compressions with adequate/superficial/abundant pressure depth (n) and in relation to the total number of chest compressions performed (%) - number of chest compressions with correct chest release (n) and in relation to the total number of chest compressions performed (%) - correct positioning of the hand on the thorax (n) and in relation to the total number of chest compressions performed (%) - number of efficient compressions (n) and in relation to the total number of chest compressions performed (%): composed parameter of compressions with correct depth, correct hand position and correct chest release - no-flow time (defined as the interruption of chest compression > 2sec, and if compression depth 2sec) - average compression frequency - differences in the quality of cardiopulmonary resuscitation depending on gender, age, body mass index, previous knowledge (e.g. first aid course) and self assessment of physical fitness.
