Inclusion criteria: - Smoke more 10 cigarettes per day for at least 1 year - Good German knowledge

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Severe psychiatric disease - MR contraindications - Pregnancy

Changes in inhibitory control performance as measured by Stop Signal task before and after neurofeedback session, using repeated measure ANOVA with the factors ‘Group’ (neurofeedback experimental condition, neurofeedback sham condition) and ‘Time’ (Pre-neurofeedback, Post-neurofeedback)

- Neurofeedback specific changes in functional connectivity of the target network - Changes in nicotine consumption and impulsivity trait, measured by Fagerstrom Test for Nicotine Dependence (FTND), Barratt Impulsiveness Scale (BIS-11), and UPPS Impulsive Behavior Scale in initial and follow-up (4 weeks later) assessment - Transient changes in resting-state connectivity, measured before and after neurofeedback session?
