Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome parameter is the total score of the Becks Anxiety Inventory (BAI) to estimate the effect as well as to detect deterioration. It is a self-report instrument for anxiety symptoms (T0, T1, T2). Relapses will also be analyzed at T1 and T2.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7 (GAD-7): The GAD-7 is a 7-item self-rating scale and was developed by the authors of the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ) for efficient diagnosis and course assessment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). (T0, T1, T2). Panic and Agoraphobia Scale (PAS): The PAS measures the severity of symptoms in patients with panic disorder with or without agoraphobia within the past week. Thirteen items are used to assess five domains that limit quality of life in patients with panic disorder: panic attacks, agoraphobic avoidance, anticipatory anxiety, restriction, and health fears (T0, T1, T2). Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale (LSAS-SR): the LSAS is a self-report instrument measuring the severity of social phobia (T0, T1, T2). Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9): The PHQ-9 is the depression module of the PHQ-D and measures the presence and frequency of nine depressive symptoms (according to DSM-IV criteria for major depression) during the last two weeks (T0, T1, T2). Treatment Adherence Perception Questionnaire (TAPQ): The TAPQ measures patients' adherence to learned strategies. Originally developed for the somatic domain, we adapted the questionnaire for the psychiatric domain and specifically for our study (T1, T2). Timeline Followback (TLFB): the TLFB is a method originally for retrospective recording of daily alcohol or drug use. For the present study, the online version of the TLFB was adapted for anxiety disorders and surveys the occurrence of panic attacks, anxiety and depression symptoms in the past 6 weeks. (See also LIFE interview) (T1, T2). Relapses: Patient relapses are additionally recorded by means of contacts to the care system (e.g., of (partially) inpatient admissions, somatic clarifications) (T1, T2). Questionnaire for measuring patient satisfaction (ZUF-8): The ZUF-8 is a self-report questionnaire for measuring satisfaction with treatment (T2). Quality of Life – global item (WHO-QOL-BREF): global item of the s
