| In this study, designed as a proof-of-concept, several parameters associated with musculoskeletal complaints and diseases will be investigated exploratively. These are: To be taken after exposures : - Perceived workload (NASA-TLX) To be taken before and after exposures and every 20 min during exposures: - Subjective discomfort rating of the upper extremity (Numerical Rating scale) - Received Perception of Exertion (Borg scale) Continuous measurements during the exposures: - Cycle-to-cycle variability of muscular activity (Root Means Square) in the shoulder-neck region and forearms using surface electromyography - Cycle-to-cycle variability of acceleration of the forearms using accelerometry - Within-cycle variability of muscular activity (Root Means Square) in the shoulder-neck region and forearms using surface electromyography - Within-cycle variability of acceleration of the forearms using accelerometry - Level and type of muscular activity/strain (10th, 50th, 90th percentile of Root Means Square) of muscles of the shoulder-neck region and forearms using surface electromyography - Signs of muscular fatigue (50th percentile of Root Means Square and median frequency) of muscles of the shoulder-neck region and forearms using surface electromyography - Muscular recovery times: EMG-gaps , SULMA-periods and -episodes, bursts using surface electromyography. - Stress on the cardiovascular system (mean heart rate) using electrocardiography | — |
