Interventions

Group 1: Visit 1: Informed consent, fasting blood collection, anthropometry, BIA, blood pressure, grip strength. Examinations with sensors (VeggieMeter and FBH system). Questionnaires: FFQ, SPAQ, PSS.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: healthy men and women aged 50-65 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - People who, due to medical or physical conditions, are unable to place a sensor in the ear for 30 min per day, or would be severely restricted by doing so - Active smokers (= 4 cigarettes/day) - A history of chronic diseases that affect gastrointestinal function - acute, active upper or lower respiratory tract infection (including Covid) - drastic, unwanted weight loss (>10% last 6 months) - diabetes mellitus type 1 and 2 - Obesity (BMI =30 kg/m²) - Underweight (BMI < 19 kg/m²) - Dementia - Self-reported severe/active diseases of the liver, kidney, rheumatic diseases, and malignant tumors - hyperlipidemia - Medications that affect fat absorption/metabolism/fat transport - cardiac pacemakers
