Group 1: The study included patients undergoing CEA of the internal carotid artery (ICA). Functional imaging with measurement of cerebral blood volume by using syngo DynaPBV Neuro® was performed.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: unilateral carotid stenosis
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with contralateral stenosis of >50%, patients with acute or chronic renal failure, as well as patients with intolerance to contrast medium were excluded.
