Congenital and acquired dental hard tissue defects in children and adolescents aged 10 to 17 years

Interventions

Group 1: One intervention group in which all patients receive 3D-printed composite restorations. Multiple restorations per patient are possible.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -good German language skills of patients and legal guardians -age 10 - 17 years -signed declaration of consent by the legal guardians -advanced loss of tooth structure

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Psychosomatically conspicuous patients - = 10 years - = 18 years - Painful CMD

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Technical complications (chippings) and fractures of the printed composite restorations within 5 years, which make it necessary to renew the restoration (60-month failure rate of the 3D-printed composite restorations).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Wear of the 3D-printed composite restorations. 2. The amount of difference in the expected color changes (?E) of composite restorations and natural teeth. The fab changes (?E) are calculated according to the recommendation of the International Commission on Illumination (Commission Internationale de l'Éclairage: Method of Measuring and Specifying Colour Rendering Properties of Light Sources, CIE Publication 13.3-1995, Central Bureau Of the CIE, Vienna, Austria, 1995,20 pp.; Color Research & Application, 20(3), 212-212.)
