Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients aged 18 years or older receiving short stem hip arthroplasty and being able to give informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: severe adipositas (BMI > 40) multiple comorbidities (ASA Score >3) History of malignomas severe dementia or other causes of cognitive impairment drug- or alcohol abuse inability to give informed consent pregnancy severe coxa valga femoral neck fracture prior operations of the affected joint
