Interventions

Group 1: arm 1: 20 patients, result of diagnostic magnetic stimulation during the drug induced sleep endoscopy in patients with sleep apnea (AHI 15-65/h) with CPAP-intolerance and an anterior-posteri

Age
18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: OSA with AHI 15-65/h, BMI to max. 34,9 kg/qm

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: already implanted pacemakers, epilepsy, intracranial metals

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. Results of the sleep endoscopy according to the VOTE-classification (Hohenhorst). Magnetic stimulation induced opening of the tongue base as well as the raising of the epiglottis and the reaction of the lateral pharynx as indicators for the opening of the posterior airway space. The videosequences are evaluated...... 2. The AHI (Apnea-Hypopnea-Index) results originating from a polygraphy or polysomnography after the activation of the hypoglossal nerve stimulator in the postoperative intervall

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Friedman Score (Mallampati), Brodsky Score, BMI, neck circumference, noted severity of sleep apnea
