Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Treatment at the neurological department at the University Hospital of Leipzig in the period 2015 – 2020. Diagnosis of cerebral infarction or TIA (with at least one of the following symptoms: aphasia, dysarthria facial paresis, sensitive or motor impairment of at least one limb) and also echocardiographically detected PFO.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Uncertain diagnosis of stroke or TIA
