Group 1: Pre-PBM: Adult patients that have gone under major elective surgery (hip arthropathy

knee arthropathy

major abdominal surgeries as colorectal or gastrointestinal cancer surgeries, and ovarian/uterine cancer surgeries

and cardiac valves) within three years before PBM-implementation at site. Group 2: Post-PBM: Adult patients that have gone under major elective surgery (hip arthropathy

and cardiac valves) within three years after PBM-implementation at site.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ?Adult patients = 18 years old at the time of hospital admission, and ? Adult patients that have gone under major elective surgery (hip arthropathy; knee arthropathy; major abdominal surgeries as colorectal or gastrointestinal cancer surgeries, and ovarian/uterine cancer surgeries; and cardiac valves), and ? Patients that have gone under major elective surgery during the corresponding time period depending on the cohort (pre- or post-PBM program implementation). Time periods are defined at site level depending on date of PBM program implementation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients meeting ANY of the following criteria will not be eligible for participation: - Patients <18 years old, or - Patients with other pathologies that based on clinical criteria can impact on the implementation of PBM program and expected outcomes.
