Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with a degenerative coxarthrosis planned for an elective hip arthroplasty and willing to take part in this study were included

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age 75 Years, posttraumatic arthrosis, hip arthroplasty other than in-house standard, patients who have already seen a video about hip arthroplasty, known dementia, legally supervised patients, patients who do not speak German.

Design outcomes

MeasureTime frame
Patient understanding, determined on the basis of a questionnaire consisting of 10 questions. Each question comprises several possible answers, which have to be assessed individually by the patient.

Patient satisfaction with the informed consent process, as well as subjective patient understanding
