Specifically, we want to investigate the hypothesis whether listening to audio books as a realistic dual task while walking has a negative effect on the spatiotemporal gait parameters. Many fall risk factors have been studied, but little is known about the relatively "new" technologies and how they affect humans. Identifying risk factors for falls early on can reduce complications such as injuries, fractures, and disabilities, especially in the elderly.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: -Age:> 18 years to 35 years -The understanding of the German language - Capable of giving consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: a) The participant suffers from chronic diseases (such as COPD, asthma, high blood pressure, diabetes) that are treated with medication. b) The participant has a hearing impairment (e.g. hearing loss) and / or severe visual impairment (e.g. acute glaucoma attack, wet macular degeneration) c) Pregnancy d) BMI greater than 35 kg / m2, as being overweight influences the measurements. The BMI is calculated from the weight and the height (BMI = weight in kg / (height in meters) ²) and represents the body weight in relation to the height. e) Performing the movement of the upper and lower extremities is only possible with pain (e.g. osteoarthritis, after injury) f) Amputation / loss of limbs beyond the loss of a finger g) The participant is dependent on an aid (e.g. rollator, walking stick). h) The participant has read or heard the books ("The Old House" and "The Story of Tom Smart") in the last 12 months. i) Age 35 years

| The aim of this research work is to determine the spatio-temporal gait parameters of young healthy people who hear an audio book or nothing while walking. The data evaluation takes place in consultation with the medical statistics. The movement analysis of the treadmill results in various gait parameters, such as the percentage of gait phases, spatial parameters (single and double step size, step width, walking speed, center of pressure), temporal parameters (single and double step time, step frequency) as well as pressure and force curves of the individual Step sequences. The collected parameters are statistically evaluated in comparison in order to evaluate the significance of the effect of listening to an audio book. After the complete data acquisition, an appointment is made to view the data and then an evaluation according to the suggestions of the medical statistics. | — |
