Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age between 18 and 65 Years, Dissociative Convulsions (ICD-10: F44.5), Epilepsy (ICD-10: G40).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Missing capacity to consent, endangerment of self or others, history of brain surgery, certain infectious and parasitic diseases (ICD-10 A00-B99), malignant neoplasms (ICD-10 C00-C97), organic mental disorders (ICD-10 F00-F09), mental and behavioural disorders due to psychoactive substance use (ICD-10 F10-F19), schizophrenia, schizotypal and delusional disorders (ICD-10 F20-F29), mental retardation (ICD-10 F70-F79), disorders of psychological development (ICD-10 F80-F89), systemic atrophies primarily affecting the central nervous system (ICD-10 G10-G14), other degenerative diseases of the nervous system (ICD-10 G30-G32), cerebrovascular diseases (ICD-10 I60-I69), pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium (ICD-10 ICD-10 O00-O99), severe impairment of vision or hearing.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Subjective Sense of Ownership and Sense of Agency towards the virtual hand, assessed via self-report questionnaire. Electrodermal activity (EDA) as implicit measure for the level of embodiment of the virtual hand.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Subjective measure of Micro- and Macrosomatognosia, assessed via self-report questionnaire (for Resized Limb Illusion). Subjective measure of Micro- and Macrosomatognosia, assessed via hand size estimation task (for Resized Limb Illusion). Objective measure of proprioceptive drift, assessed via a pointing task (for Supernumerary Limb Illusion).
