Interventions

Group 1: Patients with status epilepticus will undergo MRI as clinically indicated. Follow up MRIs will be conducted 1 and 4 weeks after the onset of status epilepticus. Patients with and without MRI

18 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Adult patients (=18 years) - Patients with an electro-clinical diagnosis of SE who, due to clinical needs, need an MRI

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patients with implants that are not MRI compatible (such as a pacemaker) - Claustrophobia

- Death in hospital (including patients in the palliative care unit with expected death in the near future) - Case fatality - 30 days mortality
