pain after abdominal surgery

Interventions

Group 1: Patients recieve an acupuncture therapy after the operation. Before and after the acupuncture, skin temperature, VAS and pain threshold are measured.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Minimum age 18 years • sufficient linguistic communication skills • Locus dolendi with maximum pressure pain at points G1 to G6, VAS at least 3

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Acupuncture experience for this indication • pregnancy • diabetic polyneuropathy • Needle phobia • Relevant mental disorders (e.g. borderline patients with a risk of self-harm) • Serious coagulation disorders (e.g. clinically relevant hemophilia) • at the time of acupuncture clinical suspected abdominal postoperative complications (especially sepsis / peitonitis)
