Group 1: Self-organized completion of the terzo auditory training including 14 sessions (material is provided) within three weeks.

18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Bilateral, unilateral, bimodal CI users • At least one year of bilateral CI experience • Speech understanding monosyllables (Freiburger Einsilber-Test) in quiet = 50% • Completion of CI aftercare procedures within first year after implantation • Age: 18-99 • Native or very good German speakers.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • CI user had no hearing aids until 10 years of age • Speech understanding performance < 50% • Regular aftercare appointments not attended. • Patient does auditory training with another program.
