Group 1: The aim of this study is a longitudinal evaluation the psychological wellbeing and quality of life of patients with bone and joint infections

Age

18 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with verified osteomyelitis, periprosthetic infection, or fracture-associated infection requiring surgical treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Psychological disorders according to ICD-10 Chapter F.

Design outcomes

Primary

Measure	Time frame
The primary efficacy endpoint is the mental component summary and physical component summary of quality of life assessed by the 36-Item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36), EQ-5D and ISR scores after 12 months.	—

Secondary

Measure	Time frame
Secondary outcomes include the mental component summary and physical component summary scores of the SF-36, EQ-5D and ISR scores at 6 months and 24 months.	—
